M/S Paul Gauguin - Activities and Entertainment on Board
Polynesia's translucent, shimmering aqua lagoons are begging to be explored, and there's no better way of doing that than from m/s Paul Gauguin's retractable watersports marina. Here you can take advantage of complimentary windsurfing, kayaking and waterskiing, or board a Zodiac® and embark on an optional SCUBA adventure.
Guests on board The Gauguin have access to water-based options not available to ships with larger footprints. Built specifically to navigate the islands of the South Pacific, m/s Paul Gauguin's size allows her to access lagoons most larger ships can't, creating intimate, private and exclusive opportunities to explore.
Float effortlessly over rainbow-coloured coral reefs and come nose to nose with parrotfish, clownfish, giant clams and sea turtles. Dive deeper to swim alongside colourful sea anemones, eagle rays, sharks and octopi.
The Gauguin's SCUBA diving excursions are designed for all levels of experience, and it is the only luxury ship in the French Polynesian islands to offer PADI certification onboard for novice divers, as well as refresher courses.
Ambassadors of the Environment Youth Program
This is a unique program created by explorer Jean-Michel Cousteau and his Ocean Futures Society. Young Ambassadors (ages 9-17) will be introduced to the extraordinary natural wonders of French Polynesia through direct, hands-on, interactive learning. Parents have the option to join them as they explore coral reefs, hike rainforest trails, visit marae (ancient Polynesian temples), and more. This program is available on all cruises from June 4th through August 20th and on select holiday cruises for a nominal fee of $289 per child.
After Dark - Dancing the Night Away
Each night on board m/s Paul Gauguin guests are offered a variety of entertainment, from dancing al fresco at the La Palette lounge to trying their luck at the blackjack table at the ship's casino.
Begin your evening at a cocktail party to the soothing riffs of the piano at the bar. After dinner, enjoy the sound of a himene acappella harmony, or take in a lively dance show in the Grand Salon, where the raven-haired Gauguines, dressed in traditional flower garlands and feather headdresses, retell ancestral legends to the pulsing beat of the to'ere and pahu drums.
The Gauguines cosy lounge, La Palette, is the perfect place to sway the night away on the indoor/outdoor floor to the rhythms of a string trio. After eleven, the lounge turns into a lively disco.
Whatever it is you crave after dark, the night is yours on board ms Paul Gauguin.
